There is a moose in this picture. It is big and brown and I was looking at it through those trees when I took this. When I tried to get closer for a better shot, it ran into the woods. The one in the shot below, which was sent to me by a friend who lives up north near Delta Junction, is easier to see because it’s an albino. That was obviously not taken recently, but in the fall. That looks like August or September… fireweed’s gone, grass brown, bushes bare, but still some leaves on the trees.

can we really see the moose in your shot? b/c if not, i’ll stop looking. if so…is it “behind” the tree to the upper right corner?
and omg…that albino moose is beautiful! i worry about the albinos, their inability to “hide” and all. but oh my gosh…it’s sooooo pretty! And I just love moose noses and ears.
lucky sent me over, and I am SO glad she did.
I have thing for mooses (meese?)… there’s something about them, so regal and furry at the same time.
this put a smile on my face. thanks
wow!
On the 1st shot?… I’ll take your word for it.
But that albino – wow! I have never seen an albino moose. I’m guessing that if I had come close to one, I would have seen it. Like LuckStars says, it must be difficult to hide at times.
So there’s really a moose in the first pic? O-kaaay!
The albino looks young, and if it’s like most albino critters probably will have a short life span.
I can’t see it either. That albino moose is beautiful.
Wow, I have never seen an albino moose. It looks so ethereal…
Wait a minute …
That’s a unicorn. They go to Alaska in the fall, lose their horns and then grow them back over the winter.
I knew it!
Awww, the albino moose looks so adorable!
wow…both pictures are absolutely gorgeous….but the albino moose…is absolutely breathtaking!!!
I can see the mote in my brother’s eye, but where’s the moose? Seriously, I know it’s there, I saw it first.
BTW, you know there are albino insects? True–about 40 years ago, I saw some albino katydids at the Museum of Natural History in New York–they were Playboy pink.
I had NO idea that there were albino moose…a very cool pic! Mind you, I also forget what causes creatures to be albino in the first place! We have a cory fish (like a catfish almost but smaller) who is an albino.
