What Type of Villain are You?

[I've had comments on the color of my hair. A lot depends on the light in which it is seen. It needs bright light to glow. Also, it lightens to strawberry blonde when I spend a lot of time in the sun, and darkens to auburn during Alaskan winters. The new (old) profile pic shows what it looks like after a winter spent camping out in the Southwest U.S. The shot below in this blog is how it looks now with a bright flash. Without that flash, it would have seemed brown.]
We did it!

It was hard. Neither of us feels like doing anything else for a while.
That’s Doug, not taking a break, but trying to reach an inaccessible screw.

Our job was interrupted near the start by a phone call from an old friend who is in Germany now.
The interruption was welcome, because even at the start the job was getting frustrating.
We persevered. Magnetized screwdrivers are great for picking up screws you drop. They are the pits for trying to push a screw into position.
We both did a lot of scrunching around, lying flat to reach screws in the components on the floor. Did I mention that this job wasn’t easy? Understatement, that, but we finally did get the new computer desk assembled.
Then it was time to start reassembling the computer and peripherals, including the new scanner that necessitated all this toil and trouble.
The end result was worth all the hassle.
Ta-DAH!!

AND I SAW IT FIRST!!!! (okay…after you guys…) I want one…my desk is pitiful.
I thought it was some weight lifting equipment at first. So where’s the coffe maker?!
Ours was easy to ASSEMBLE…..but a COMPUTER DESK should have some provision for running WIRES, don’t you think?!?
Well, NFP, the desk is tucked behind the sofa, next to the used-to-be-dining table which is now my jewelry workshop, and the coffee maker is essentially in the same room (kitchen), but about 12 feet away. Inefficient, I know. But it’s the only exercise I get some days.
S.O., yeah, wires are an important consideration in this sort of furniture. Ours not only had the huge advantage of being CHEAP, but it has all these open sides and back that make the wiring ever so much neater than it was on the old card table that used to be here.
Now there is even a chance that I can keep computing debris from building up on my jewelry work table, and there is less conflict between the chair at my jewelry place and the computer seat.
The only thing that made assembly hard was having to do it in a tight space.
Congrates on the new computer desk. David and I each have our own, though when we move into a bigger house we’re each going to need new ones. I only want a slightly bigger one with a little more space, David on the other hand needs a MUCH bigger one since he works from home and has 4 computers that do various things and right now 3 of them are tucked away under the stairs, not too convenient!
Ohhhh … Ahhhhh …
oh, yeah … the desk ain’t half bad either. When did Doug get so foxy?
And that hair! Yours …
Red.
Red Red … I recalled it being more strawberry blonde … like mine!
I mean … wow. You rock.
I was going to comment on your hair too… It’s such a beautiful red color. I’m trying to grow mine out. I need a computer desk like that.
:along with Misfit: Ohhhh… Ahhhhh…
Very nice! And it will be much more convenient, too.
You’re a redhead!
Me too, but I bet yours didn’t come out of a box….
Great work on the desk! And Doug is a cutie. I love being able to “see” folks I hear so much about.
I did not mean to offend you. I apologize.
You look like a couple of hippies in those pics. *smile* Next time plant desk seeds and grow one. It’s a lot easier.
I have that same computer desk!
ahhh, thanks foir visiting! and as for the banana peels, what do you think we were doing in elementary school??????
glad you stopped by – thanks for the desk pics! i enjoy knowing others have been through the joys of desk assembly – i have a storage shed “kit” sitting in my front yard, eagerly awaiting my return from work to assemble it! wooohooo! can we say “dad, i thought those were BAD words?”…
Peace…PJ
yessssssssss, and beeeeeeyyyyyyyyooooooootiffuuuul!
Cool desk.
My coffee pot is about 12 feet away, as well, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Sometimes, it is the only thing that pulls me away from the computer. And, when I get those frustrations… ya know… ya gotta walk away.
I like to use cable ties on my cords. A dozen or so is a buck or two at the hardware shop. I have a similar desk with all sorts of open-ness, but you still have cords dangling everywhere.
Magnetized screwdrivers near your computer? Keep that in mind the next time you think goblins have taken over…
I hate assembling furniture.
Nothing like trying to screw in a tight spot.
assemblage is highly underrated. smile.
Least you could have done was have a nudie pic up on the monitor.
didn’t read it……………I need you to talk to me NOW
