What’s going on here?
Is it still January? Am I still in Alaska?
This is nuts! The temperature has gone up five degrees in about ten minutes. Now it is reading 46.7 F.
It has been raining off and on for days, and now the wind has come up… a Chinook… in January!?!
During the recent 3-week cold spell, it was dead calm all the time. It is almost never windy here, and never noisy-windy like this, with things flapping and thumping.
The power keeps going off and on, resetting the computer. I should probably shut it down and go read a book… by flashlight any minute now, I suppose.

In southeastern Tennessee we got to a high of 23 today. There is something VERY wrong about all this.
46.7 degrees F?! Get outside, woman, and enjoy some of it! Er… assuming it’s still a balmy 46.7 degrees during your normal waking hours tomorrow, that is.
The weather seems to get more and more bizarre as time goes by… hope things settle down for you soon.
In New York, we’re at 8 degree, with wind chill bringing it down below 0. Why do you have our weather?! :p
I know!!!! When I went to bed last night it was close to -40. This morning it is -7. Its practically a heat wave. This is strange for January.
We have had a 70 degree difference in the last 2 days…which on one hand I am glad we are up to a balmy 20°F but we are supposed to get freezing rain tomorrow I would rather have negative below zero then ice
it was six below here thursday morning with a windchill of 17 to 20 below. yesterday we soared up to the low 20′s.
it’s warmer there than it is here? o_O sigh.
46? amazing 35 here.
@fairydragonstar - Like you, I’d rather have deep cold than freezing rain, slick roads and heavy slush.
Here we are having cold, stormy spring-like weather. I’ve had to light the fire and get out warmer clothes and its the middle of summer.
@beatie - It’s truly global, isn’t it?
