Yesterday I explained the reason for the rhubarb security tunnel, the sightline through the trees that Doug and I hacked and clipped and sawed, so we can see if anyone is messing with our garden.
Today, the rain slacked off a bit — enough that I wasn’t worried about getting moisture inside my camera body — so I went out and captured the promised images.
The first one shows the meandering path curving to the left in the foreground.
The second one, when enlarged, reveals the road at the end of the tunnel, that faint horizontal line across the lighter open space at center.

Gosh… it’s so beautiful there. Really. Even a little path through is just gorgeous. I wish it wasn’t so cold there… I’d come be your neighbor.
Hope this deters the ‘barb thievers!
Darn I need to get myself a camera that takes that kind of breath taking pictures!
The pictures are really beautiful. It looks like an enchanted place.
That is an ingenious idea. I hope you are enjoying your beautiful long Summer Days….There is still a glimmer of blue glow in the sky after 10 PM here in Washington, and it still freaks me out that it’s completely light in the Summer at 9 PM. It throws me all off. If I lived in Alaska, I’d be out watering the grass at 1AM.
@SeanHarrington - One of my first big shocks when I moved here was seeing kids out playing in their yards at midnight. Every summer, Doug and I pull at least one all-nighter, just forget to go to sleep because it doesn’t get dark.
