What was the first album you bought?
The year was 1958. The album was Frank Sinatra’s Only the Lonely. I had been dumped, and I was wallowing in the angst of it. I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

Mine was Elton John’s Madman Across the Water. The second was Godspell, as I was smack-dab in the middle of my Godstruck Catholic phase.
Mine was Herman’s Hermits.
Doc Severensen, Command Performances. It started me on a 30 year love affair with the trumpet. I can still play that album in my head with incredible fidelity when ever I want to.

Mine was Breaking Benjamin’s We are not Alone. I think it was a few years ago actually. It got me into alternative rock.
