The Hermit is a card of introspection, analysis and, well, virginity. You do not desire to socialize; the card indicates, instead, a desire for peace and solitude. You prefer to take the time to think, organize, ruminate, take stock. There may be feelings of frustration and discontent but these feelings eventually lead to enlightenment, illumination, clarity.
The Hermit represents a wise, inspirational person, friend, teacher, therapist. This a person who can shine a light on things that were previously mysterious and confusing.

Take the Test to Find Out.“…all things hidden.” Fascinating… it doesn’t seem to matter whether I pick up a deck and cut it, click a button for an online one-card reading, or take one of these quiz thingies (and I have done at least three different ones on the theme, “What Tarot card are you?”). The Hermit keeps turning up for me, and has since 1969. I just asked myself why, under the circumstances, I keep playing these games.
It is not because I want or need confirmation that I’m the Hermit. I am so sure of it that a while back when tarotbabe suggested that we trade Tarot readings, and said she uses the Celtic Cross spread, I suggested Hermit as my significator. She never did follow through with that. I was disappointed. Oh, well….
I have been working behind the scenes here, doing some revisions on old memoir episodes, thinking about combining several of the childhood posts into one, and trying to turn the “narrative summary” links list into something more coherent. I have also been trying to remember more details of the late nineteen fifties. For now, though, I’m getting off the computer and into some food… or some food into me, rather.

I’m always The Tower on those tests. Haven’t decided if that’s a good thing or a worrisome thing.
I’m the Hierophant any way I slice it. What do you think (or guess) about bipolar disorder and overeating disorders? I hope you’re doing well, feeling good but in a balanced way.
This time I’m the Hermit as well, but I haven’t noticed a recurring theme….
i don’t remember what deck i have but it is untraditional. i remember a specific time when i was “playing around” and 3 cards fell out of the deck (i was fixing to pick 3 cards actually so i figured why not keep the cards that fell out it could be “fate”)… of corse they were right on the money of what was going on right then in my life. the only card i can remember now was the one talking about vampires. it was the last time i picked up my deck.
Thanks for sending me over to tarotbabe’s site…seems she has a few things going on. I am getting very interested in Tarot again, thinking I just might go for it. Now of course I have to figger out which card I am!!! And it is a good idea to use that as a significator.

I have collected decks for some time and try and keep them warm. Should get them out soon. Do take care my friend.
I have been the hermit. When I started out about 25 years ago, my first reading, I was the page of cups, oddly enough I was really into FISH and when the reader pulled up the card indicating me, it was a page of cups, had a fish coming out of the cup.
I’m not sure if I am hermitized by choice, default, or if it is just another stage…
Hi sweety–test says I am “The Sun”–I dunno, some of those questions had unanswerable questions (favorite planet? I picked Mercury just because of the retrograde effect) or more than one answer.
Took the test again–now I’m “The Star”–hmmm–”Sun,” then “Star”–I see a trend here.
