“I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity.

    Dwight D. Eisenhower

Factoid:  Eisenhower was one of twelve U.S. presidents who had been army generals.  Among the professions or occupations of our presidents, only the lawyers have outnumbered the generals.

  • And perhaps the reason that the current administration has been so willing to war is that there are so few soldiers at the top?

  • Yeah… what the above commentor said.  Too little soldiers at the top… too little children of the top being soldiers, too.

  • The very idea that Shrub could be a lawyer boggles my mind. Hopefully he defends murderers or something.
