weekly photo challenge
This weeks photo challenge is hosted by Citril
Her subject is Time Traveller
I caught these twenty-first-century high schoolers swing dancing at a festival in Big Lake, Alaska, wearing clothes from their grandparents’ era.
Visually, they were out of their own time. The unfamiliar clothing and their self-consciousness lent a feeling of being out-of-place as well.

wonderful shots , dont the guys look like gangsters though!
What fun pictures!!!! Love them!!! These are wonderful for the challenge!
Between the hats and the shoes, I can’t decide which I love best! HA!
Dear Kathy Lynn,
Another week has passed, and I’m still attempting to “reaquaint” myself with my older subs. These kids do look somewhat “out of place” somewhat, but if you squint, perhaps they could be “time travellers”.
The photo of the plane across the sun is just awesome.
Gravel looks like a great candidate based on his record. I’ve been afraid (no matter what the present administration claims, since lies are a major part of the Bush “ideal” it would seem) that the draft will soon be reinstated. I also have predicted that if it does, then we’ll hear a protest movement that might even put the late 60s antiwar movement to shame.

Wonderful photos! What a great opportunity to reconnect with the past.
Those are great pictures! I love the vivid colors
Cognitive dissonance with respect to religion is so sad. I don’t understand how people can take things so literally in the English translations of the Bible, not listening to their God-given (if they want to go that route) minds and souls to complement what they read. Your way of addressing the issue, talking about child-rearing and the stigma of mental health “ab/norm/alities,” is refreshing, as always.
Great photos! Well done!!
Love it!
These are so neat!
Cool
