Moon over the Muskeg
I was asked by sparrow59
how far we live from the restless volcanoes. I don’t know
how many miles it is. There is a chain of them across Cook Inlet,
stretching out to the Southwest toward the Aleutian Islands. We
are far enough away not to experience pyroclastic flows, and close
enough to hear the booms and feel the shakes during an eruption.
We have experienced significant ashfall here from four separate
eruptive sequences in the past twenty years.

Cool, then you are pretty safe. YAY!
Thanks for the heads-up–I got a nice glimpse of old loony when I went out to lock the car–which is still full of laundry, come to think of it. . . .
That’d be too close for me!
Wow. I think that would be too close for me, too!
Restless volcanoes, that would be interesting. I am soon leaving Arizona, and moving to the Pacific NorthWest. I am sure you would agree it’s a good move. Funny, very strangely, there are still things about L.A. I miss, just things. Arizona, I think I will miss the beautiful snow storms, the thunder, and that’s about it. (I had to keep you updated)
Hey, yeah, long time no see. I wanted to dip and say hi. I got like a day off for once. Wow. And speaking of wow. IE: World of Warcraft) Maybe doug’s gotten into that one. I tell you, if ever there was an outstanding online role playing game, this is the one, you can have pets, jobs, quests and the social interactions are awesome, emotes to make your character perform all sorts of actions, even the mundane. But I noticed a lot of sites hiring people and paying reasonably well to have people play online games in such roles as Game masters etc, but the big one in surging demand is power levelers. As the process goes there are dozens of online companies who can’t seem to hire enough people, take peons4hire.com for example. They get paid to level up people’s characters, do quests for them, or to look for items etc. You can also pay other people to do just about anything for you in these virtual worlds, seeing as how there is no way to cheat. Apparently a lot of people participate, so the job market for at home gamers is booming. I just thought of Doug, cuz its prime time, pays okay and reasonably sounds like something he might enjoy doing. You get paid to play or you pay to play, either way. As per life, the book writing thing is going ever so well. I have the cutest little friend that I adore. I swear, she’s my female double and we’re both ever so notorious! Otherwise I work a lot, a lot more than I’d like with lots of distractions. Korea in the fall is just about as beautiful as the spring though. It’s not so bad really. North Korea still hase something stuck in their behind, but that’s an old issue anyway. I really do miss you guys, you are all truly the best, because you are all so you and not anything else, which happens to be what I love about you all. Don’t know when I’ll be back by but it’ll happen sometime or another as it always does. Pretty happy with the whole D+D thing here. Lots of people play it. We have two groups with seven people per group and its growing into a potential third. throw in a lot of pizza, soda, a few dirty jokes and it makes a perfect evening. Guess I wouldn’t be cutting short now, seeing as how this is thick anyway, but it feels like it cuz I want to say so much. I guess I’ll just have to check in a little more often.
Tell Doug I says hi.
Oh, and the perfect nerd detector.
We have a guy who …… acquired a basketball nerf-like D-20, pretty big. He carries it and kicks it around alot. And when someone says, he that’s a D-20, its like bam! So caught. Since they know, automatic nerd detector.
And I figured out how evil dragons kill time.
Yeah, apparently they select random groups of humans for regular games of pong.
They all surround the humans in turn, activating their auras of fear.
The humans run from one to another, then to another, then to another, until they figure which one is the least fearsome and they attempt to run by it. that dragon looses and the others keep playing until only one dragon remains. believe me, it looks a lot like pong. And the last dragon, well…. obviously he gets to eat the people.
wow. that’s a great picture…. I’m jealous!
When I was working at a concert there was a pink moon quite lovely.
nice pics and nice post…
stay at peace, and be kind; especially to yourself
love, always.
doesn’t matter if the color’s faded…all that matters to me is the glow of the moon and the reflection on the water.
never ceases to amaze me how lovely it is there.
