  • SIGHTS THAT HAVE STOPPED ME IN MY TRACKS

This week’s Photo_Challenge is hosted by mommybug. Her subject is: Sights that make you stop for a second, take another look and make you hold your breath with joy or gasp in appreciation.

    This
day is one of those when I’m recovering from yesterday’s
activity. Slow gathering my strength to roll out of bed, I asked
Doug to bring me a cup of coffee and check to see if the new photo
    challenge had been posted.

He read it and said he
thought I could easily find some shots in my files that would fit the
criteria. I knew right away that I’d have no trouble finding
something. It wasn’t until I started looking through the files
that I realized how hard it would be to narrow it down to a reasonable
    number of selections.

I failed in that effort. That’s why this post is so unreasonably long.

  • Wow……..I don’t know which is the most beautiful.

  • My boys are going to Alaska this summer, I hope they can appreciate the beauty!

  • No wonder Alaska is at the top of my “too live there if only for a short while” list.

    Right after Australia.

    –End of Line–

ryc; I’m not good with heights either but the paths are a safe distance from the very edge thankfully.

  • All of these shots are the best to me.  you do live in an awesome environment.  I always wished to see Alaska and the Iditarod.  That has to be the ultimate spectacle.

  • very nice outdoor shots!

  • I just love clouds!  Nice photos!

  • Too many good ones to choose the best but I do fancy you backyard at midnight. Thanks for stopping by mine.

  • These are wonderful, I especially love the second shot, I like them with a lot of sky.

  • When I saw the second photo, I instantly knew it was Alaska.  I am so sad we left there.

  • Those are pretty awesome. I like the last one and the solstice best.

  • Once again I am in awe at the beauty that surrounds you on a daily basis.  I’m wistful too because I feel that I could go up there and live out in the woods myself.  I’ll just have to “worship” from afar, I guess

The summer solstice and the summer sunset are my favs from this bunch although they are all breathtaking.  One that I loved that you did not post was one from this winter that was taken in the woods behind your place, the only colour was the glow from one of your windows… beautiful
