Update
Doug may be showing some PTSD–Kathy says sometimes he gets this dazed, thoughtful look and says something like “I shot a moose” or “Two shots. . . .one in the lungs, one in the head. . . .” She and the dog are both getting over their emotional stress, and she got the last of the meat processed, says the trailer smells like a slaughterhouse.
Still no word from the comp doc or the local drunk who is supposed to fix her car. One I recoup from the show this weekend (Willow Winter Carnival, back to back 12-hour days), I plan to get them some groceries, do a mitzvah run on Tuesday, deliver groceries and do their laundry.
The moose is still dead.

And may the moose remain dead.
Man.
That moose is crackin me up.
It makes me want to respond…”Kill the blue duck”. I have no idea why.

That’s good. This would be a lousy time for it to try to make a comeback.
Glad Kathy & Koji are ok. Hoping Doug recovers too. Pretty stressful stuff, facing up to a moose!
Wishing Kathy her transportation & communication. Must be hell being stuck in the trailer for reasons other than her own, and without her computer. Hoping the physical low has eased up a bit too.
Mostly just (selfishly) missing Kathy
I hope that some normalcy invades their lives shortly. It’s disconcerting about Doug….. I suppose one good thing about all of this is that you have plenty of moose meat.
