    Not just me… is it?
Well, it looks like it is me, I guess…
    Can someone explain it?

    Clara says,

“I just thought of something, do you ever click on *Comment box not working? Click here*? That’s what I often do on badly skinned pages.”

If I coulda, I woulda, but I haven’t seen that line in quite a
while.  I  had assumed that it was eliminated in the recent
Xanga upgrades.  Is it just me?

    UPDATE:

Okay, after a few comments, I’m ready
to accept that somehow Mozilla has eliminated (for me) that option to
“click here” if the comment box doesn’t work.  Accept, I
can.  Understand… not yet.  How does a browser do
that?  Homer… anyone?  Inquiring minds MUST find out.

  • I think it is.  There’s one on your page.

  • Geez, is that Mozilla? How do they do that?!

  • must be you.
it’s always all about you, isn’t it?

    no wait…
    it’s all about me!

::totters off to stealthily read more xanga while at work::

  • I use it often…….especially when I want to single-space comments.

  • I see it right here — I use it a lot at pages that take forever to download on my dialup.

That’s weird — has to be Mozilla. This is the first time I’ve found any downside to it, in all other ways it has been much better for us than IE!

  • Oh dear.  Have you e-mailed the xanga-gods for help?  I’m sure they could fix that to make it compatible with Mozilla.

  • I use Mozilla, too…….

  • Sorry hun, I’m utterly freakin’ clueless.

  • must be mozilla then … i use that and didn’t even know there was such a line … wonder what else i miss … besides popups and viruses …

  • You’re not alone….

I think it’s a new problem though… Ive used Netscape/Mozilla while reading xanga a fair bit and never noticed the line missing… I don’t comment that much though so it could easily slip by mitch…

I came in here using IE, which I normally use for looki’n at xanga and most shit….  All is normal so I opened up Netscape and sure enough the  “Comment box not working? Click here” line is missing…

Is not ur poor old ‘puter (So say ur sorry before ya hurt it’s feelings)… Download IE and use it for xanga untill they fix the problem..

And so far, I haven’t been able to see any common denominator for why some sites require the Click here shit, and some don’t… I’ve seen bare bones sites and full of glitter sites that went either way… << Now that sounds kinky…… hahaha

  • Bottom line: Mozilla makes shit look crazy. I’m looking at this page with Mozzy and IE right now, and I’m only seeing the link in IE. I don’t think there’s anything you can do about it, that’s just the way the browser is. The other day, I went to register to vote online and I was using Mozilla. There were little “yes” and “no” checkboxes next to questions like “Are you an American citizen?, Have you ever been convicted of a felony?” etc, and the browser had the buttons lined up all wrong. I went in with IE just to be sure I wasn’t entering the wrong info, and I’m glad I did! Try looking at my website with Mozilla and Internet Explorer, and you’ll see what kind of difference it makes. Trips me out.
